Developments within the Ranmoor Conservation Area are inevitable but it is important that these developments are sympathetic to the existing unique environment. New development is subject to approval by the Council Planning Department via a planning application. Issues which are considered by the Planning Department when an application is made are outlined in the Ranmoor Conservation Area Statement of Special Interest published by the Planning Department.

Planning applications for the current month that are relevant to the Fulwood Ward, which includes the Ranmoor Conservation Area, can be found on the council planning website. Select Fulwood in the Ward List. Previous months can also be viewed.
