Welcome to the Ranmoor Society – a local history group focusing on Sheffield’s Victorian suburb of Ranmoor and the neighbouring areas of Hangingwater and Nether Green.

The Ranmoor Society offers:

  • Access to an extensive local archive of documents and photographs of people and properties in the Ranmoor district.

General Data Protection Regulation

You may be aware that data protection laws changed in 2018.  The changes (known as the General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR) are designed to give individuals in the European Union greater protection of their privacy by giving them control over how their personal data is collected, stored and used by organisations.

The Ranmoor Society requests certain items of personal data from its members to assist the Committee in running the Society efficiently for its members. Our policy regarding your personal data is set out in our policy statement (“Our Policy Concerning Members’ Personal Data”).

We hope that members will appreciate the need for the Society to hold this limited amount of personal data, but should you have any questions on this matter please contact our Data Protection Officer.
